Equator's Edge Wildlife Center operates exclusively with small, guided tour groups. This approach ensures that visitors can engage directly with the animals, facilitating meaningful interactions and fostering a deeper understanding of their unique behaviors. Each of our facilities is meticulously designed with climate control in mind, ensuring a comfortable environment for the animals while accommodating the varying weather conditions prevalent in Colorado. Our mission emphasizes conservation through interaction. By educating the public about wildlife and encouraging hands-on experiences, we cultivate a greater appreciation and awareness of these magnificent creatures. This heightened understanding is vital for promoting their protection and ensuring their survival for future generations.
We aim to offer a top-notch educational experience for everyone interested in animals, whether you’re on one of our private tours or participating in special programs that support our mission. Our goals include creating the best practices in the industry and ensuring that our animal ambassadors receive optimal care. At Equator's Edge, our educational programs, preventative care, and enrichment activities are based on the latest research and information, and we strictly follow all local, state, and national guidelines. Our facility is fully licensed by the USDA and Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
After 15 years of extensive travel throughout the United States, attending state and county fairs, festivals, and expos, we at Aussie Kingdom have dedicated ourselves to educating diverse audiences about the remarkable wildlife of Australia. We are pleased to announce the establishment of a permanent facility in Elizabeth, Colorado. This expansion allows us to showcase a broader array of animals native to the Southern Hemisphere while inviting the public to engage in an informative experience that highlights the unique characteristics of these extraordinary species.
Australia is home to a total of 379 species of mammals of which 357 are indigenous to the continent. 159 of these mammals are marsupials, mammals where the females have pouches in which to rear their young. The most popular of the marsupials are the kangaroos, wallabies and walleroos. Ranging in size from 1 foot to over 6 feet tall, Equator's Edge Wildlife Center features these remarkable creatures and other native Australian wildlife as well as other animals from around the world.
We truly believe in the magic of connecting with animals on a personal level. It's heartwarming to see visitors of all ages, some of whom have never been around animals before, walk through our doors feeling a bit unsure about how to interact. With a little kindness and respect, they soon discover the wonderful quirks that make each animal special. It’s all about fostering that bond, and we’re here to guide everyone on that journey!
