Learn about us and who we are...

Equator's Edge is not your typical zoo.  Located in Elizabeth, Co.  We are an educational and conservation center.  All tours are small, guided groups.  Giving you the opportunity to ask questions and get to know the animals on a personal basis.

Due to the nature of the animals we have, all of our barns are fully heated and designed with their comfort in mind, along with extra precautions taken for our wonderful weather here in Colorado.

Conservation through Interaction

The more people who know of our wildlife and interact with it, the more people will have a better understanding and connection with our wildlife and help to protect it.

We want to help and create a better world

We strive to provide a premiere educational experience at every level of zoological involvement from the public experience on our private tours to special programs that drive our mission. Our goals encompass the development of industry best practices as well as understanding optimal welfare requirements for our animal ambassadors. Equator's Edge educational initiatives and programs, preventative medicine, and enrichment program work alongside the latest research and information available and follow all local, state, and national standards. Our facility is fully licensed  by the USDA, Pacfa and  Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

After 15 years of traveling all over the Untied states to state and county fairs, festivals and expos, educating people from all walks of life about the wonders from down under (Australia).  Aussie Kingdom has decided to expand and bring animals from all over the southern hemisphere. Inviting people to visit and learn all about these wonderful animals.

Wildlife from wild places around the world

Australia is home to a total of 379 species of mammals of which 357 are indigenous to the continent. 159 of these mammals are marsupials, mammals where the females have pouches in which to rear their young. The most popular of the marsupials are the kangaroos, wallabies and walleroos. Ranging in size from 1 foot to over 6 feet tall, Equator's Edge Wildlife Center features these remarkable creatures and other native Australian wildlife as well as other animals from around the world.

Who We Are

Carolyn Lantz grew up on a farm surrounded by animals.  But today , instead of horses and cows, she is now chief wrangler to animals from below the equators edge.

We passionately believe in creating opportunities for people to connect  with animals on a personal level.  We have worked with guest of all ages who've never interacted with animals and are unsure of how to treat them.  By modeling gentleness and respect, our guests learn to appreciate each animal's special qualities.
